You have the right to request at any time that HSFK provides information about personal information attributable to you, i.e. stored data, as well as the origin of such data, recipients or categories of recipients to which the data is forwarded, and the purpose of storage. 3. Data Security
HSFK maintains current technical measures to guarantee for data security, in particular to protect your personal information against risks during data transfers, as well as knowledge acquisition by third parties. These technical measures will be adapted to the current state of the art from time to time. However, such adaptation may require that updates (e.g. new web browser) are installed by the user.
4. Collection of Personal Data
The Site is generally built up in two sections. You may access certain parts of the Site without the requirement of a registration (Portal Section and linked learning units). Toaccess certain other parts of the Site (Certificate Section), a registration is required (see Terms of Use for more information).
Use of Portal Section without registration
If you prefer a merely informative use of the Site, i.e. if you do not register and/or log-in to the Certificate Section, only the following data will be acquired when you visit the Site and will be evaluated in anonymized form for statistical purposes and to improve the Site and the Programme (see Terms of Use for further reference to the Programme):
- IP address
- date and time of the page request
- time zone difference to the Greenwich mean time (GMT)
- content of page request (specific page)
- access status/HTTP status code
- amount of data
- address of the site which may have referred you to the Site
- web browser
- operating system and its surface
- language and version of the web browser software.
All log-data will either be deleted or anonymized automatically after 7 days. See also section 7 on tracking (below).
Use of Certificate Section and/or of Portal Section if you are a registered user
If you wish to use the Certificate Section of the Site, you must register by placing your name and your email address when prompted to create an account (‘account’). Optionally, you may provide your affiliation, e.g. your university, organisation etc. You will be prompted to confirm your registration in an e-mail to your e-mail account. HSFK will not verify your name, but the name provided when registering will appear on your certificate and cannot be changed after registration. Your e-mail address will only be used to confirm your registration. In addition to your name, e-mail address and, if applicable, your affiliation, we will also save your examination progress, i.e. the tests you have taken after each learning unit.
If you are logged-in to your account, the categories of data specified above under ‘Portal Section’ will also be acquired and used for statistical purposes and to improve the site and the programme. However, we will not evaluate the data in a way attributable to you.
Please note that, if you are a registered user and are logged into your account, the Site will not distinguish between your use of the Portal Section and your use of the Certificate Section, i.e. that also data about your use of the Portal Section is theoretically attributable to your account. In any event, we will not evaluate this data in a way attributable to you. If you do wish to browse the Portal Section without your data being attributable to your account, please make sure to log-out before visiting the Portal Section.
All data necessary to provide specific users with a certificate will be stored as long as the possibility to obtain a certificate is offered by PRIF. We do not terminate accounts after a certain time of inactivity nor do we terminate accounts after the successful completion of all tests necessary to obtain the full certificate.
If you terminate your account, we will delete all personal data attributed to your account. If you wish to terminate your account, please send an e-mail to support@nonproliferation-elearning.eu.
